The Kerala Science Congress is an annual event conducted by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment during January/February. This event provides a platform for young researchers, academicians, technologists and others across the State and elsewhere to discuss, exchange and share their research findings and technologies developed, relevant to the State of Kerala.
The 37th Kerala Science Congress’s Focal Theme is “Technology Transformation for a Green Future” highlights the critical importance of sharing and implementing sustainable technologies to address the urgent environmental challenges of our times such as climate change, resource depletion and pollution. Cross border and sectoral transfer of green technologies are crucial to support sustainable development objectives. To support this theme all governments, research institutions, private sectors should collaborate with the community to help us adopt and implement green innovations.
Clean energy solutions (solar, wind), advanced waste management systems to promote recycling and circular economies, sustainable agriculture practices that increase food security while protecting ecosystems as well and green manufacturing technologies, which reduce emissions/ resource use. Through that type of exchange, we can grow the economy and create green jobs, improve health but not destroy this earth. In the end, technology transfer is an important enabler to create a world which offers greater resilience and sustainability for all.
In this backdrop, the Kerala Science Congress Committee unanimously chosen “Technology Transformation for a Green Future” as the focal theme of 37th Science Congress session.
The 37th Kerala Science Congress will be conducted at Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur. Distribution of awards (Dr. S. Vasudev Award, KSYS Chief Ministers Gold Medal Awards, Science Literature Awards), Focal theme lectures, Memorial lectures, Best Paper & Poster Presentations, Post-Graduate Students interactive session, Children’s Science Congress, Technical Paper Presentations, Science Expo etc. will be the major events of the 37th KSC.
All the activities of 37th Kerala Science Congress will be jointly organized by the KSCSTE, KSCSTE – Kerala Forest Research Institute (KSCSTE-KFRI) and Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Thrissur.
