Information to Contributors


The 31st Kerala Science Congress is mainly focusing on the Focal Theme, “Our Environment – Our Future: Science and Technology for Rebuilding Kerala”   and the  Technical Session papers in the 12 broad subject areas also should attempt directly or indirectly on addressing the S&T intervention in rebuilding the State. Papers with such inputs shall be given preference for acceptance

  1. Agriculture & Food Sciences,
  2. Biotechnology,
  3. Chemical Sciences,
  4. Earth and Planetary Sciences,
  5. Engineering & Technology,
  6. Environmental Sciences, Forestry &Wildlife,
  7. Fisheries & Veterinary Sciences,
  8. Health Sciences,
  9. Life Sciences,
  10. Mathematical & Statistical Sciences,
  11. Physical Sciences,
  12. Science Education, Communication & Society.

Contributions addressing any of the twelve subject areas focusing on eight sub-themes of the Focal Theme may be submitted under the following three categories:

  1. Contest papers for Best Paper Award
  2. Paper for Oral presentation
  3. Paper for Poster presentation

First author of each paper has to register himself/herself by paying the registration fee at the time of paper submission. Only the first author of the paper is allowed to upload the paper in the science congress. Co-authors need not upload the papers, they can register through the provision “Participation Only”.

Duplicate registration is not allowed

One author can submit only one paper as first author but can be co-author to maximum of five submissions.

An author can make only one oral presentation in the Science Congress, even though he/she may be the co-author of other papers.

A valid Email ID & Mobile Number are essential for messaging and approving the registration.

Digital copy of recent stamp size photograph (150 width x 200 height Pixels with maximum 50 kb size) of the person registering online has to be uploaded.

The category in which the contributions made has to be indicated in the registration form and no subsequent change is possible.

In all cases, the decision of the organizers of KSC will be final.

Registration for ‘Participation Only’

Individual registration for participation only can be done by paying the prescribed Registration fee.

Delegates/Participants –

  • Registration fee        :          1500/-
  • Accommodation fee :           300/-

Bonafide Students –

  • Registration fee        :          Rs 750/-
  • Accommodation fee :           100/-.

For bonafide students, a certificate from HOD/HOI should be presented at the venue registration desk in proof of student eligibility.

The language of Kerala Science Congress is English. All paper submissions should be made in English only. However, the contributors are free to present their paper in English or in the State’s official language, Malayalam.
